Below are some of the frequently asked questions we receive when hiring the horsebox




Do I need to pay a deposit?
You will be provided with a link in your booking confirmation which will allow us to put a pre authorisation on your bank card for the sum of £300. This can only be done within 48 hours of your hire start date. Alternatively you are able to pay cash on the day which will be refunded to you on safe return of the horsebox


How many miles can I travel?
We provide 250 miles per day as standard. Any excess mileage will be charged at 50p/mile.


Will the horsebox come with a full tank of fuel?
Our horsebox is always supplied with a full tank of fuel and should be returned back to us with the same amount. Failure to refuel will incur a £20 charge, plus the cost of the fuel.


Are the horseboxes cleaned?
As we take pride in our vehicles, our horsebox will be provided to you clean and disinfected in both horse and human areas.


How many horses can I carry?
Our horsebox is capable of carrying 2 horses and has a payload of 950kg


Will my horse fit in your box?
Anything up to 18 hands will comfortably fit in our horsebox. See image below to see Lucas the 17.2hh Clydesdale beautifully modelling and demonstrating a comfortable fit in our box.


How old do I need to be?
Our fully comprehensive insurance covers drivers from the ages 25-75. You must have at least 2 years driving experience and no more than 6 penalty points.


What documents do I need to hire?
When hiring from us we will need to see your driving licence and 2 proof of address both matching the address on your licence. We will also need a DVLA check code, which can be obtained from here https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence


What is your cancellation policy?
You are entitled to a full refund if the booking is cancelled 7 or more days before your collection date. After this no refund will be given but depending on the circumstances it will be down to our discretion to transfer the booking date to another day.


I need a horsebox in an emergency. Can you help?
If you require a horsebox urgently then please contact us on either 07874993814 or 07714241987 and we will try our best to help. Our booking system only allows bookings to be made with 48 hours notice.
